1960S STRAIGHT JEANS

The Letters commissioned COALMINE to produce a special edition of 1960s

The jeans were beautifully and carefully finished using 15 old black iron sewing machines in homage to the origin model of the most perfected jeans along with the quality.

The silhouette is the most basic, slightly slim and straight.

The top button is an original iron button with COALMINE logo, the crotch wing is an original iron donut button, and the sewing thread is made of 100% cotton catamenial thread, changing the count in the right places.
The pocket pouch cloth is made of sleek with a western pattern unique to The Letters. A leather patch with The Letters logo is used on the back.

The Letters model uses 12.5oz raw indigo denim woven on a vintage shuttle loom, which is used in other COALMINE models. Long and short fibers are randomly twisted at the spinning stage, rope-dyed, and woven on a shuttle loom.
The denim is characterized by the natural unevenness of the vertical fading caused by the random fiber lengths, which exquisitely rises as a texture as the wearer wears it, and the color falls softly.

質と共に最も完成されたジーンズの原点モデルをオマージュして黒い鉄製オールドミシン15台を使用して美しく丁寧に仕上げました。
シルエットは最もベーシックなやや細身のストレート。

トップ釦は鉄製のCOALMINEロゴ入オリジナル釦、股比翼は鉄製のオリジナルドーナツ釦、縫製糸には綿100%のカタン糸を用いて、適材適所で番手を変えて縫製しています。
ポケット袋布にはThe Lettersならではのウエスタン柄をあしらったスレキを使用。バックにはThe Lettersロゴのレザーパッチを使用。

生地にはCOALMINEでは別のモデルで使用しているビンテージシャトル織機で織られた12.5ozの生インディゴデニムをThe Lettersモデルとして使用しています。紡績の段階で繊維長が長いものと短いものをランダムに撚り合わせ、ロープ染色し、シャトル織機で織り上げます。
特徴としてランダムな繊維長による自然なムラ感の縦落ちが履き込むごとに絶妙に質感として浮きあがり、色あたりがやおら落ちてくるとても佇まいの良いデニムです。
